APPLICATION FOR - Permit to Carry a Concealed Weapon (CCW)

OOC SECTION:
This application is meant for current PF holders who wish to upgrade their PFs to CCWs in order to legally carry. PF Applicants can choose to apply for a CCW during the initial process, or refer to this application later in order to upgrade their permit.

The OOC Requirements surrounding CCWs are the same as those surrounding PFs.

STATE ORDINANCE (IC):
- CCW HOLDERS are still subject to all ordinances surrounding PFs, except those preventing carrying.
- CCW HOLDERS may carry their licensed firearm in an OPEN or CONCEALED holster, a CONCEALED backpack, handbag, or pocket, or ANYWHERE inside of their vehicle.
- CCW HOLDERS are EXPECTED to keep their firearm CLEAR and SAFE while outside of their homes, until the firearm is needed for its' intended use. This means CCW holders may not carry with a round chambered, or the safety off on applicable models.
- CCW HOLDERS are expected to use due dilligence in deciding when it is appropriate to draw, aim, or discharge their firearm. Improper use of the firearm may result in permit revocation or further criminal charges.
- CWW HOLDERS may apply for certain restricted weapons that are not available in stores through the Special Weapon Request form. They will be required to have a valid personal or professional reason, as well as pass a full theoretical and physical marksmanship test administered by Marshal Services.
