[ch]Weapon Permits[/ch]
The State of San Andreas uses a licensing system in order to help enforce local, state and federal laws regarding weapon ownership and their distribution. We have two levels of Permits obtainable under the San Andreas Department of Justice, a Standard Weapons Permit and an Advanced Weapons Permit. Head here to see the main differences. We also have what are called personal and cooperative permits, which allow companies to obtain general licensing for its employees (LSPD for instance).
Standard Weapons Permit
The Standard Weapons Permit is obtainable by filling out and submitting a form to the local ATF. Acceptance largely depends on your records, past and present, as well as varying factors which may or may not be related. This is the standard license and is the most common, allowing most weapons you'll ever need to be have.
For easy purposes, the Weapons Permit is also a Concealed Weapons Permit, acting as both in one.
Advanced Weapons Permit
In order to qualify for the AWP, you must first posse a SWP. Your Standard Permit must've been held for the minimum of three (3) months and you cannot have any felonies or be associated with any felony charged people in order to qualify.
Weapons for the Advanced Permit have to be specifically requested and are delivered ((by an admin)) according to San Andreas law.
Cooperative Licensing
Cooperative licensing is what we use to have businesses, such as a security firm or a law enforcing department, to allow their employees access to general firearms in order to carry out their job. The only catch is that the CEO or Person-In-Charge must clear each individual with the DOJ ((they will not be given a license)) in order for them to be legally certified to carry, not conceal, a weapon. If stopped or frisked by an LEO (police), they must be able to prove without a doubt they're on the job and actively employed.
