Phase II - Extended Information
1. Why are you applying for a firearm Permit? I am applying for a firearms licence as you are not allowed to take your service weapon home with you, thus making you prone getting robbed/attacked/mugged etc. I also have a family to protect, living in East L.S isnt the safest place however its all i can afford at the moment. I am applying for the licence so i know i am safe wherever i go and can ensure my families when out and about with them.
2. What will you use these firearms for? I will use the firearms to protect my family if/when needed. I will ensure that it is not misused or handled by anyone other the a firearms permit holder.
3. If accepted, where will you store this firearm? I will store my firearm(s) in a safe, kept under my bed in my bedroom, only myself of my girlfriend if the gets a licence too will have a key to the safe. This will improve security of the firearm but is also in a safe and convenient place.
4.Please explain a situation where you would pull out your firearm. ((Long Answer - 50 words)) There was a gang robbing my house, they would be carrying Uzi's and Shotguns, they would be threatening to shoot my girlfriend if i didnt give them money, i would say that a wad of cash is in the safe of which the firearm would be kept, i would go to the safe, sneaking a firearm out, clearly taking the money too. I would then unholster the firearm at the nearest most possible safest chance and order them to drop theirs.
5. Please explain a situation where you would not pull your firearm out, but call 911. ((Long Answer - 50 words)) I would call 911 but not unholster a firearm if somebody was getting robbed behind a store, if i was to pull my firearm out i could alert nearby gang members etc. and they would end up firing at me. I would attempt to tackle the suspect, subduing his weapon and continue to hogtie him with anything i had until the PD's showed up.
